Who can fly aircraft models ?

The association of regional administration Eden 62 and the preservation society of the coastline allow the members of the association VDP Blanc-Nez to fly aircraft models on the Cap Blanc-Nez site. Members need to wear an identification badge given by the association. The park wardens in charge of the site are entitled to ask any person flying an aircraft model for this badge. In case the person is not a member of the association, the wardens will ask him to stop flying his models at once.

Flying conditions

Members of the association reach the takeoff zones using footpaths after parking their vehicles in the car park. They must stay inside the takeoff zones which you can see on the map below. In order to preserve birds nesting on the cliff, members commit themselves not to use the north-west post (post n°3) between March 1st and September 30th. During this time, flying over the cliff is strictly forbidden, even from the other takeoff zones. The frequency safety must be secured by keeping a 10 khz margin between channels. Turn on your transmitters only after consulting the other fliers present on the site.

Respect of the site

Aircraft models fliers commit themselves to respect all the people walking around the site and take all the necessary precautions not to harm them. They commit themselves to leave no litter on the site. Campfires and bivouacs are forbidden. Any member that does not abide by these rules will be expelled from the association.
